New $15 million children’s museum in South Kansas City plans to open in October

Kansas City, Mo. – Crews reached a major milestone this week in the exterior construction of Wonderscope’s new $15 million state-of-the-art facility located at Red Bridge Shopping Center.

To celebrate, a project site tour was given to commemorate all the progress the building has seen. Soon they’ll begin the interior furnishing of the museum along with the installation of ten new exhibits for kids to explore and enjoy.

For the past 30 years, Wonderscope has been operating out of an outdated Shawnee school building. This October, their new and improved home will replace their existing space, giving children and families a new place to learn through hands-on, interactive activities.
