Come help MCPL start a new chapter in the history of the Red Bridge Branch!
The public is invited to join branch staff, MCPL Leadership, and local officials to “turn the page” in a special dedication ceremony at the new Red Bridge Branch on Wednesday, September 25 at 4:30 P.M.
The ceremony will be held at the original Red Bridge Branch, 11140 Locust Street, where a “book brigade” will transfer the last few books from the old location to the new. Following the brigade and ceremony, guests will enjoy various family activities, a selfie station, face painter, balloon artist, light refreshments, and a visit by MCPL mascot, Marty the Martian.
The library has been a long-time part of the Red Bridge community, and we are pleased that they will continue to provide the much needed services to the neighborhood.
As MCPL CEO Steven Potter stated, “Not only will the new facility upgrade our space, it will also allow us to remain close to all of the amazing development and growth that is occurring in the area. As a gathering place for friends and neighbors, there is no better spot for the library to be than in the heart of this thriving community.”
